Forum Registration deactivated

Hello everyone!

Just to let you know, we deactivated the option to register with our forums since we had some problems with spambots lately. Of course, users who are already registered may use the forums with no limitation. All new users may solely search the forums.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but at the same time, there's been little action lately and most topics have been discussed and are thus now archived for everyone to read.

EDIT: We'll actually need the users deleted that are spamming, I'll dive into it a bit later today.

I already banned ~4 Spambots yesterday and removed their posts. If there are more of them active, please report them and I'll take care of them.

I've another mod-project to work on now besides real-life so it indeed is a bit hard to also look after CWC besides all that. Even more since it's "done" since 2008.

There shouldn't be any more spambots in the future anyways as Hex already disabled the new registration.

Well, I'd say pity, but it's not like this place hasn't been a bit of a stiff anyway.

We still get questions every now and then don't we? And some of them haven't been answered in previous topics.

Might it be a suggestion to leave 1 forum/topic open for newly-registered users so they can still ask questions? Maybe even with a little more visiting or a single admin promotion? Would hate to cut off all access to the forums.

What about we start adding a decaying USSR production facility? After 1 or 2 hours of play, your resources start to get scarce and you have to cope with the fact that the US has more efficient production lines. Now, that'd be realistic.

The European Alliance was canceled several years ago. We just didn't have the time in RL to work on a 3rd faction. So to get CWC done, we decided to drop the EA fation and finish CWC with the other two.
