| So you can't give UH-60 any miniguns... | |
...beacuse of engine limitations, but you can give it rocket pods, just like in MI-8.
ATM, apart from rappeling option, which is kinda cool, but that's it, UH-60's are practically useless. One MI-8 can single handedly stop an entire enemy's, armored, advance. It won't destroy the tanks, but it'll leave 'em almost dead. In "Operation Flashpoint" both, the MI-8 and UH-60 had rocket pods for close air support. IMO it would even greatly in CWC, since the US air forces are much weaker than the USSR's. Just my two cents.

The Mi-8 costs one General's Point while you get the UH-60 for free. The UH-60 can be used to clear buildings and is highly useful for capturing unprotected flags.
If you want rocket pods, simply use the AH-6.

UH60 are for sure not useless, but still a upgrade to give em those 38FFARs seems nice and fair.
But for balance this might require lost of countermeasures when Rocket Pods upgrade bought. 'Might' cuz these countermeasures aren't 'the best' ones ;]

Wait, what? Have you tried clearing garrison with them? They're the only available helicopters in the game with the ability to Combat Drop, when used correctly, they are very useful.
Besides, US already has like, what, 3 attack helicopters?

But no armed transport helicopter.
Could be implemented, no reasons for not doing this [ except work on model / skin].
Number of available units doesn't matter at all, and armed transport as Mi8 would be useful for side that rely on Air Units. USSR get that type of unit by gen point, US thanks to Air Supremacy would get just for an upgrade from normal Blackhawk.
Blackhawk is workhorse of US mobile troops, letting him to support transporting troops will make him more popular and a real Universal Helicopter as UH stands for

Thanks for the suggestion. Discussion on this started in early 2005. In short: We don't like to change the UH-60.

A UH-60 can actually carry around 152 76mm FFARs.
or 16 AGM-114s or a mixture of both even 2 M230s (30mm nose cannon on the apache). while having the M134s. so having a UH-60 that could do all that would be to powerful IMHO

Well in the betas there was a version of the Blackhawk with mini guns and a medical version.
Maybe they are still in the files, and thus checkable with a custom map.

I can confirm that it's not.
Anyhow, if possible, a drone type of weapon that works passively like the AA guns on tanks would be ace here, because at least then it'd work without any user input and it the angle wouldn't be a problem since the Blackhawk's priority would be transport and not chasing down the targets.
